We are pleased to announce the open call for the MI-LAB AIR in Echizen for 2024:

Mokuhanga Innovation Lab (MI-LAB) has been holding Artist-in-Residence programs of water-based woodblock printmaking techniques in Fujikawaguchiko-cho, Yamanashi Prefecture since 2011, but will move to Echizen, Fukui Prefecture after the residency season of 2023.
The AIR programs in 2024 will be held at our new studio near “Echizen Washi no Sato”. As you know, Echizen is one of the famous traditional production area of Japanese paper. We are planning to offer paper making workshops in cooperation of the Udatsu Crafts Center. We are so excited to invite you to MI-LAB AIR in the new location!

Basic Training Programs:  
BPA – from April 21 (Sun.) to May 25 (Sat.), 2024;
BPB – from September 8 (Sun.) to October 12 (Sat.), 2024;
BPC – from October 20 (Sun.) to November 23 (Sat.), 2024.
