本年度最初のレジデンス・プログラムであるベーシック・プログラムAに参加したアーティストの作品を、過去のMI-LAB寄贈作品と共にコレクション展としてご紹介いたします。
稲が長くなり実りを祝う9月。MI-LABでも今年度最初の実りであるレジデンスでの成果作品を過去のMI-LABへの寄贈作品から選抜した作品と共にご紹介します。外国のアーティストによる木版画表現は、浮世絵に始まる多色水彩摺りの枠にとどまらず、モノトーンや独特の色の組み合わせ、あるいは抽象と具象、またその中間のような定義しがたい作品にあふれています。写真は自ら和紙工場へ赴き、染めた繊維の色を作品の背景とした興味深い作品です。ぜひご高覧ください。

Basic Training Program A Exhibition
Exhibition from MI-LAB collection – 2018 September Edition

CfSHE Gallery is pleased to show the prints created during this year’s our first residency program “Basic Training Program A”, together with selected work from MI-LAB archives.

n Nagatsuki, the old name of September which means long rice plants, they celebrate harvest of rice.
We celebrate this month with a part of our collection rich of variety which demonstrate possibilities of Mokuhanga technique in two (and some transitory between) confronting concepts: from monotone to multi color & from figurative to abstract.
You will also find curious research in paper making with visualizing fibers of Kozo as a figurative image.
