This time, you can make either a Christmas card or a New Year’s card, whichever you prefer. For the Christmas card, you can choose one of two designs, and for the New Year’s card, you can freely design the background of the haniwa horse. We will allow more time than usual for carving, and provide thorough instruction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a one-day workshop where you will create a multicolor woodblock print using two blocks. You will experience all the processes of water-based woodblock printing, i.e. designing, transferring, carving, and printing. All necessary tools and materials will be provided, so feel free to come empty-handed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At Holbein Tokyo Artroom, you can print using your favorite colors from the transparent and opaque watercolors line-ups provided by Holbein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Children under the age of 10 can’t be accepted to participate due to the use of knives. Children between the ages of 11 and 15 are requested to be accompanied by an adult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

* Mokuhanga Innovation Laboratory (MI-LAB) was established in 2011 with the aim of spreading water-based woodblock printing techniques overseas. MI-LAB has been active in mainly running artist-in-residence programs for international artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
