2007 to 2015 \u2013 Established Printmaking Studio NAO, exhibiting at events in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Aichi, etc.; created illustrations for books, package labels, stage set designs, mural decorations, and logo designs
2015 to Present \u2013 Started Printmaking Yubinsya to teach classes and workshops in non-toxic intaglio techniques and oil-based woodblock printing with roller inking

Message<\/td>I first studied the fundamentals of mokuhanga, along with other printmaking techniques, at art school. Later, while assisting Mr. Hayakawa in printing Buddhist paintings, I acquired the technique of oil-based woodblock printing using a roller. After establishing my own studio, I gradually shifted from intaglio to mokuhanga and have since dedicated myself to this medium.
Relocating from Tokyo to the Echizen coast introduced me to an abundance of fine washi paper, which has inspired me to re-engage with water-based mokuhanga from a fresh perspective. At MI-LAB, I support the maintenance and preparation of the workshop facilities.
For me, carving wood feels natural and deeply satisfying. I value how each finished print embodies the living presence and generosity of the wood itself. This is why I continue to pursue mokuhanga. Being part of MI-LAB\u2014where remarkable sensibilities and technical skills come together\u2014constantly inspires me, and I hope my contributions can support the program in meaningful ways.<\/td><\/tr>
