Message<\/td>Born to parents who were both painters, I was immersed in the world of art from an early age, creating primarily in oil and watercolor. At university, I developed an interest in printmaking and chose it as my major. Among its various forms, I was especially captivated by Mokuhanga\u2014its materials and techniques, the fascination of its process, and the depth of its history.
I approach mokuhanga not only as a means of artistic expression but also with a strong interest in its traditions: the cultural and historical significance of its tools and materials, as well as the innovations that continue to expand its possibilities. Each day, I balance learning and practice as I create new works.
At MI-LAB, I teach practical mokuhanga skills and knowledge tailored to each artist\u2019s needs and level. I look forward to meeting outstanding artists from around the world and to encountering new works in Echizen, one of Japan\u2019s foremost regions for washi paper.<\/td><\/tr>
