Message<\/td>I first began making mokuhanga simply because it was easy\u2014and it allowed me to send handmade postcards to many friends in the days before email and social media. Since then, my passion for printmaking has continued to grow as I\u2019ve explored various techniques, with mokuhanga remaining close to my heart. My involvement deepened through my work as a headquarters coordinator for two International Mokuhanga Conferences. These experiences opened my eyes to the incredible depth and diversity of the global mokuhanga community. It’s the desire to stay connected with such inspiring woodblock artists from around the world that motivates me to keep doing what I do. At MI-LAB, I primarily handle administrative tasks, including correspondence with residency participants before their arrival in Japan. While I don\u2019t often have the chance to visit the Echizen site in person, it\u2019s always deeply inspiring to hear about each artist\u2019s ideas and see the work they create. I would be delighted to meet and connect with mokuhanga artists\u2014even if only briefly.<\/td><\/tr>
