水性木版画のクリスマスカードを作りましょう。柔らかな色あいと和紙の風合いが優しい、一味違うカードができます。
Let’s make a Christmas card in water-based woodblock printmaking. The soft colors and texture of the Japanese paper will make for a unique card.

今回は2種類の下絵から1つを選んで作っていただきます。彫りの時間を今までより長くとって、彫りをしっかり習得していただきます。

2枚の版を使って多色刷り木版画を1日で作るワークショップです。下絵、転写、彫り、摺りの工程を全部体験できます。必要な道具や材料はお貸ししますので、手ぶらでお気軽にお出かけください。

「ホルベイン東京美術室」では、備え付けのホルベイン透明・不透明水彩絵の具のラインアップからお好きな色を使って摺ることができます。

＊国際木版画ラボラトリー（MI-LAB）は、水性木版画技術の海外普及を目的として2011年に設立されて以来、国際的なアーティストを対象としたアーティスト・イン・レジデンス・プログラムの運営を中心に活動しています。

This time, you will choose one of two different designs to create. You will have more time to carve than before, so you can master the carving technique thoroughly.

This is a one-day workshop where you will create a multicolor woodblock print using two blocks. You will experience all the processes of water-based woodblock printing, i.e. designing, transferring, carving, and printing. All necessary tools and materials will be provided, so feel free to come empty-handed.

At “Abu LABO”, you can print using your favorite colors from the transparent and opaque watercolors line-ups provided by Holbein.

* Children under the age of 10 can’t be accepted to participate due to the use of knives. Children between the ages of 11 and 15 are requested to be accompanied by an adult.

* If you bring a light meal for lunch, you can eat it at the venue.

* Mokuhanga Innovation Laboratory (MI-LAB) was established in 2011 with the aim of spreading water-based woodblock printing techniques overseas. MI-LAB has been active in mainly running artist-in-residence programs for international artists.
