We are pleased to announce the open call for the MI-LAB AIR 2025.

Mokuhanga Innovation Lab (MI-LAB) had been holding Artist-in-Residence programs of water-based woodblock printmaking techniques in Fujikawaguchiko-cho, Yamanashi Prefecture since 2011, but moved to Echizen, Fukui Prefecture after the residency season of 2023.
The AIR programs will be held at our new studio near “Echizen Washi Village” from April 2024. As you know, Echizen is one of the famous traditional production area of Japanese paper. We are planning to offer paper making workshops in cooperation of the Udatsu Crafts Center. We are so excited to invite you to MI-LAB AIR in the new location!

Basic Training Programs:  
BPA – from April 13 (Sun.) to May 17 (Sat.), 2025;
BPB – from September 7 (Sun.) to October 11 (Sat.), 2025;
BPC – from October 19 (Sun.) to November 22 (Sat.), 2025.
