Since then, my passion for printmaking has continued to grow as I’ve explored various techniques, with mokuhanga remaining close to my heart. My involvement deepened through my work as a headquarters coordinator for two International Mokuhanga Conferences. These experiences opened my eyes to the incredible depth and diversity of the global mokuhanga community. It’s the desire to stay connected with such inspiring woodblock artists from around the world that motivates me to keep doing what I do. At MI-LAB, I primarily handle administrative tasks, including correspondence with residency participants before their arrival in Japan. While I don’t often have the chance to visit the Echizen site in person, it’s always deeply inspiring to hear about each artist’s ideas and see the work they create.
