This new program is designed for those artists who want to deepen their understanding of washi (Japanese paper), sumi (Japanese ink) and their relationship. Instructor Katsutoshi Yuasa has been studying sumi since IMC Nara 2021. He will They will show participants how to apply such knowledge to their mokuhanga production. This is our first thematic program. It’s very exciting to see what kind of work will come out of it.
